First off I want to introduce myself and give you a little bit of background. My name is Jeremy and I have over 16 years of corporate IT experience working for several Fortune 500 companies and I have also been in the web hosting industry for close to 10 years.
The purpose of this site is to help newcomers to the world of web hosting and to educate them in how to properly setup and configure Linux, WHM\cPanel, and other various programs and tools commonly used in the web hosting industry. I feel that providing a guide will help the internet as a whole since it will help cut down on improperly configured servers thus lessening the possibility of being exploited and then used to send spam or possibly used to attack or exploit additional servers.
I am by no means a wordsmith so most of my post will be direct and to the point, but if you feel the article needs a little more clarification please feel free to contact me and I will try and elaborate on the subject so you get a better understanding. After all the target audience is that of a newbie so I may need to dumb it down a little so you get the full explanation.
On this site I will also be recommending company’s that you may want to consider doing business with based on the performance and level of customer service I have seen with the companies over an extended period of time.
In the spirit of full disclosure I am the owner of JaxVPS Web Hosting Solutions (Site Sponsor) and the links to the companies I recommend will use affiliate links to help generate revenue for this website but the recommendations will be due to the companies reputation and performance over the years not because they pay me more.
Welcome to Web Host School and we look forward to educating you.
